The accident occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 13, around 5:55 p.m. on Jerusalem Avenue near Nelson Avenue in Hicksville, according to Nassau County police.
Police reported that a 64-year-old man driving a 2005 Nissan pickup truck southbound on Jerusalem Avenue hit a 59-year-old man crossing the road. The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
The driver remained at the scene, and no additional injuries were reported.
